UTIC and its members have been a positive force in helping to acquire additional funding for tourism advertising and marketing in state government.  UTIC monitors legislative activities and informs the membership when action is required.  UTIC also works in cooperation with tourism organizations as well as counties and communities throughout the state to develop awareness of the benefits of tourism.
